What's been happening with Hey Create?

As you may have heard from my last post we have moved to our new studio at The Factory in Alder Hills, Poole and we are really enjoying being there and having the extra space!

Signs lot's of signs!

We have been laser cutting and painting a lot of signs for customers this week, some in acrylic and others in poplar ply and MDF. Here is a PARTY sign we made for a customer's birthday party.

Harry came to work in his best clothes for a photo shoot, but we can't stop working! So we made him this bubble wrap suit. He looks like a ninja!

Venus Awards

I was very proud to be nominated for a Venus Award this year and although I did not make the semi finals it has been a great experience. Filling in the application has shown me how far we have come on our Hey Create journey! Here is the link to the Venus Awards website  https://www.venusawards.co.uk/
Good luck to all the semi finalists!

Startup Britain Tour!

Last week we were very pleased to be invited to join the Startup Britain team on their bus in Bournemouth town centre.  The bus tours around the UK offering free business advice to up and coming entrepreneurs and startup businesses. It's a great opportunity to meet people already in business in your local area and ask them anything you need to know. We enjoyed mentoring for the day and it was lovely to meet such inspiring people.
Here is the story in the daily Echo http://www.bournemouthecho.co.uk/news/14632952.StartUp_Britain_bus_inspires_entrepreneurs_on_visit_to_Bournemouth/   Look out for us in the photo!!

Co-working space

Today The factory hub opens up their co-working space, which is a great place to start up your own business or if you are looking to get out of the house after working from home (we know that feeling!)
You can book your space here http://thefactory.spaces.nexudus.com/en
We are enjoying the working atmosphere here and it's a great place to meet like minded people.

Well better get on with the laser cutting!
